Custom durability What is custom durability?

QR codes can survive being torn, smudged, or rained on. Durability is how much damage a code can take and still scan. Pro lets you turn it up for codes that’ll live in the real world — printed labels, stickers, paper notes.

Low, Medium, High

Free already uses the same on-device, end-to-end encryption Pro does — the same primitives, the same security guarantees, no asterisks. Pro is what you reach for when the secret matters enough to want more control over how it’s split, styled, and shared.

From 2 pieces to 10 — spread it as wide as you trust.

Free splits a secret into 2 pieces. Pro takes that up to 10, and lets you set how many of them must come back together to unlock it — three-of-five, six-of-ten, any combination that fits how much risk you can stomach.

Ten Qryo QR cards fanned out side by side, each carrying a different share of the same secret.
One secret, split into ten codes. Choose how many it takes to unlock.

More pieces means more places to hide them — one with a partner, one in a safe, one in a sealed envelope at the office — and a higher bar before anyone can put the secret back together.

Pro only above 2 pieces

Branded or Discreet — which to use.

Free & Pro

Branded — the friendly default.

Carries the Qryo wordmark and a scan caption. When someone points an iPhone camera at one, the message decrypts on the spot — no need to install Qryo first, no account, no setup. Made to be handed to anyone.

A plain black-and-white QR code on a white card, with no Qryo branding.

Pro only

Discreet — invisible by design.

Plain black-and-white with no Qryo branding — indistinguishable from any other QR in the wild. Only the Qryo app can read it. As a bonus, dropping the branding frees up roughly twice as much room per code, so longer messages fit and splits can use fewer pieces.

One PDF — your choice of layout.

When you split a message into several QR codes, the PDF export bundles every piece into one print-ready file. Pick the layout that fits how you’ll use it.

A stack of three printed pages fanned out, each with a single Qryo QR code labelled 'Code N of 3'.

One QR per page.

Best when each code lives somewhere different — separate envelopes, separate people, separate vaults. Easy to hand out without revealing the others.

A single printed page laid out with three Qryo QR codes in a row, each labelled 'Code N of 3'.

All codes on one page.

Best when you’ll archive the set together — a single sheet in a safe, a file folder, or a binder. Compact and easy to scan back in one sitting.

Pro only

One purchase. Every device.

Qryo Pro unlocks on every iPhone and iPad signed in to your Apple ID — and on up to six members of your Family Sharing group, at no extra cost.
